• I know who delivers my power and who I pay for it.
• I have asked my retail electric provider about export terms for my plan.
• I know whether my electrical panel has room, or I plan to ask a licensed electrician.
• I have a year of electric bills I can look at.
• I know what I want: lower usage from the grid, backup power, or both.
• I know who would remove and reinstall panels if the roof needs work later.
• I have read my homeowners policy section on roof coverage.
